GuildSim
GuildSim
GuildSim is a playable experimental Unity prototype created through an AI-driven autonomous development workflow.
Build a small adventurer guild, assemble a party, prepare supplies and equipment, and send your team on deterministic expeditions. Character abilities, injuries, progression, equipment, and event decisions influence the outcome of each mission.
Play the prototype
The browser version is the fastest way to try GuildSim. A downloadable Windows build is also available below.
- Playable in English and Traditional Chinese
- Mouse and keyboard
- Single-player
- No account or online connection required
- Browser saves are stored locally and may be lost if site data is cleared
Features
- Guild and adventurer management
- Party preparation and supply allocation
- Character abilities and specializations
- Equipment and progression systems
- Expedition events and persistent injuries
- Seeded deterministic simulation
- Save and continue support
- English and Traditional Chinese localization
Project status
GuildSim is a concluded experimental prototype, not a commercially finished game.
The project successfully produced a complete playable workflow, a deterministic simulation model, save persistence, localization, automated testing, and Windows and browser builds.
Player testing also revealed an important design limitation: although the progression and build systems functioned correctly, the expedition loop remained too dependent on numerical checks and did not provide enough strategic variety or replay motivation.
Rather than expanding an unproven gameplay foundation, development was intentionally concluded and the prototype preserved as an honest engineering and AI-development case study.
AI development experiment
The project explored how far an AI-driven workflow could independently take a Unity game from technical design to a playable build.
The experiment demonstrated that AI can rapidly produce:
- Structured domain logic
- Deterministic random systems
- Save and versioning infrastructure
- Localization and UI flows
- Automated EditMode and PlayMode coverage
- Build and validation pipelines
It also demonstrated that engineering completeness does not automatically create compelling gameplay. Human playtesting remained essential for identifying problems that automated tests and balance simulations could not measure.
Controls
Use the mouse to navigate menus, select adventurers, prepare expeditions, and make event decisions.
For the best experience, play in fullscreen on a desktop browser at 1280×720 or above.
Download
The Windows version contains the same concluded prototype and can be played offline.
No further gameplay development is currently planned.
Known issue: Some punctuation and check-mark glyphs may not render correctly in the English browser build.
